     "More a Pamphlet Than a Book --- And a Poorly-Written One!" 2006-09-06
By Michael D. Jones (Washington DC)
Wegner's "book" is all of about fifty pages of double-spaced, ill-written text from a guy who really doesn't have a lot to say about what did or didn't happen at Neverland Ranch from December 1990 to December 1993. Most of this tripe (which can be read within fifteen minutes) doesn't even seem to have a point. Take, for just one example, the author's description of a new elephant's arrival to the ranch:

"When Michael rounded the corner of the security office, he saw the elephant. His first reaction was one of great surprise. He moved very cautiously toward the elephant. A specialist, who was hired to train and care for the elephant, was present. Michael moved closer to the elephant so that he could touch it."

End of chapter! What was the point to that passage, I wonder? Or to this sorry little "book" as a whole? It doesn't even deserve the one star I gave it, but that's the lowest rating allowed.

    I give it an F.

if this guy really saw something take place...why did it take him 9 years later to write this book? and why didn't he go to authorities? you mean to tell me that he'd rather write a book ($$$$$) then go to authorities?? and why didn't tom sneddon ask him to testify?? AND why didn't THIS guy simply speak up and be a witness to the prosecution?

     "Great Read!" 2005-03-11

Robert Wegner's My Three Years Working for Michael Jackson details Robert Wegner's experience as Head of Security for Never land Ranch from December 1990 to December 1993. Wegner's insightful look at the King of Pop is both entertaining and informative. At about 90 pages it is a fast and easy read. If you want to get to know more about the "real" Michael Jackson and not the public persona I suggest you read Wegner's book.

     "The real deal!" 2005-01-28

Robert Wegner's book provides an honest look at life at Neverland Ranch without getting bogged down in the details. It's straightforward and easy to read. As far as the bad reviews, his book was updated in 2004, which got rid of the typos and bad spacing. So, if that's what you base your book buying decision on, then worry no more :-)

It really is a pleasure to read. He was on our local radio station, and he was a trip to listen to as well! I highly recommend it.

"Attention! Buy and Read this Book!" 2004-11-29

I am not much of a Michael Jackson fan but when all of his problems came out, I became interested in his life. I decided to start reading about him and found this book written about Michael Jackson. I think the book was pretty exciting. I enjoyed reading it and finding out about Jackson and what is would be like to work for him. Wegner worked for him and wrote all that he knew about Jackson. Wegner talked about what it was like to work for such a strange person. I recommend that anyone who likes, dislikes or whatever you feel about Jackson, should buy this book.
